Welcome to La Famiglia

We combine family recipes with authentic ingredients and local flavors to bring the culinary traditions of Southern Italy to Huntington, WV

Family Recipes

At La Famiglia, the recipes we utilize each day in our kitchens are the same century old recipes our ancestors brought with them from Southern Italy. Whether it’s Grandma Jenny’s homemade meatballs with imported pecorino cheese or our Great Grandfather’s spicy Italian sausage recipe, we honor the tradition of our family’s kitchen.

Imported Flavors

In order to create the most unique and authentic experience possible, we import a majority of our ingredients from Italy.  Whether its the  balsamic vinegar from Modena that we use in our house vinaigrette or the chili peppers we source from a family farm in Calabria – we share a passion for truly authentic flavors.

House Specialties

In order to offer ingredients at their freshest, we make all of our dishes from scratch.  The mozzarella we use to top our pizzas and serve on our Caprese platter is hand stretched in house.  The pasta noodles we serve each night are prepared fresh each day with imported “00” flour.

Our History

Meet La Famiglia

In 1898 a young man left his house in Petilia Policastro, Calabria in search of a better way of life in America. Like so many immigrants in search of this dream, he would not stop in New York but would find his way to Williamson, West Virginia, and a job with the N&W Railroad. It was after several years of hard work, money earned and saved, that my grandfather, Raffaele Ierardi, would finally bring his family to the land of dreams in America.
